The game is very poorly optimized for Xbox and other consoles, chugging when entities are present, almost feeling like the cutest little slide show. The only gripe I have with this specific version is the frame rate. The soundtrack is amazing, perfectly describes working on a ranch, or in this case, an interstellar planet. I really enjoy the slime's AI, it's almost as if they're actual creatures. The game is graphically gorgeous, from dense jungles to dried-out coral reefs, the game has this almost-cutesy art style to it. There's still more to do, crafting slimescience gadgets etc. So far I've played for over 50 hours and I have to say I'm still hooked even though I've reached the current "end-game" zones. While the gameplay is simple, it's incredibly addictive and you'll find yourself BLOWING through hours of real-time in the blink of an eye and still wanting more out of the game. Even though it's a small game it really has the potential to be amazing, with future content drops and further development or possibly even Slime Rancher 2.0, I think this could easily become a solid 9.
